CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)

Qualification Overview

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

Duration
The course is 10 months in class inclusive of four weeks of work placement which is a compulsory component of this qualification.
Delivery Mode
Face to face workshops occur two days per week. Assessment tasks including assignments, in addition to workshops, will be required to complete this qualification. This course is deemed as full-time study.
Entry Requirements
Whilst there are no pre-requisites stated in the training package the sector requires participants to provide a clear Police check (no older than 3 months), a current WWVP card (or evidence of application) and provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccine (including booster). This evidence must be provided prior to enrolment. Current ID is also required.

Participants must have a genuine desire to work in this sector. A Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment is undertaken with all participants to develop a support plan if necessary.
