CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
Qualification Overview
Over the next 10 years the demand for services provided by the Aged Care sector will continue to increase at a significant rate.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing.
Assessment tasks including assignments in addition to workshops will be required to complete this qualification. This course is deemed as full-time study.
Electives have been selected to provide a qualification with a specialisation in Individual Support (Ageing) and are relevant to the work outcome and potential role.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work placement as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) qualification. Participants will also undertake HLTAID011 Provide first aid.
Duration |
The course is 9 months in class plus four weeks of work placement which is a compulsory component of this qualification. Face to face workshops occur two days each week. |

Entry Requirements |
Whilst there are no pre-requisites stated in the training package the sector requires you to achieve a clear Police check and Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) check, and be triple vaccinated for COVID-19 (Government requirement). Current Police check, WWVP card and COVID-19 vaccination evidence must be provided prior to enrolment. Assistance to obtain this information can be provided by Foresite Training or your Workforce Australia provider.
You must have a genuine desire to work in this sector. A Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment is required to develop a support plan if necessary. |
