Qualification Overview
Early Childhood Education and Care is a growing sector with more parents than ever utilising Early Childhood Services in all its various forms.
This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (Release 4)
This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.
Duration |
The course duration is 10 months (includes 6 weeks of work placement) which is a compulsory component of this qualification and will occur in 2 blocks (2 weeks at week 14 and 4 weeks at week 34). |
Delivery Mode |
Face to face workshops occur two days each week. Assessment tasks including assignments, in addition to workshops, will be required to complete this qualification. This course is deemed as full-time study. |
Entry Requirements |
Whilst there are no pre-requisites stated in the training package the sector requires you to achieve a Working with Vulnerable People check prior to commencement of work placement, and is arranged by Foresite Training or your Employment Services provider.
You must have a genuine desire to work in this sector. A Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment is required to develop a support plan if necessary. Electives have been selected to provide a qualification with a specialisation in individual support (Early Childhood Education and Care) and are relevant to the work outcome and potential role. |
